Calling All Job Seekers!

To help with the impact of the economy on the community, Saint Edward the Confessor Parish of Westminster is announcing the formation and launch of a job seekers network. With more people applying for fewer available jobs, it is proven that professional networking is one of the best tools in finding and landing your next job. The network will strive to help you help yourself and others to establish and grow your professional network, develop networking strategies, create and practice your 60 second job seeker "elevator" speech, develop resume, network profile writing and job search strategies, as well as polish up on your interviewing techniques. If you are currently seeking a job, please come! We'd love to meet you. Other ways you can help include: sharing your own professional network with other job seekers, sharing job leads, expert resume writers, current or former human resource professionals, volunteers to watch children during the meeting, etc. It all helps. The meetings will be held weekly on Thursdays at Saint Edward's Parish Center, 10 Church St. Westminster MA from 10am to 12 noon.

WWPC--Wachusett Writers and Poets Club

WWPC Wachusett Writers and Poets Club meets every Monday (except for holidays for Town Hall closings) Westminster Town Hall, 1pm -3pm. Writing topics are selected for meetings. All writers are invited to attend.

American Cancer Society's Relay for Life of the Greater Gardner Area are starting their Team Captain Meetings!

Scheduled meetings are: Wednesday March 24th, Wednesday April 28th, Wednesday May 26th. Meetings start at 6pm (new team captains' orientation starts at 5pm before each meeting). Location: Westminster Elementary School.
