About Westminster Vine
Westminster Vine is a free bi-weekly newsletter produced by Jay and Jennifer Shenk of Westminster. The newsletter links to a website at www.communityvine.net which contains the entire text of the stories that are started on the newsletter. The website also contains a calendar, archives, lots of free items for local classrooms and even free books, movies and music for the community's adults and kids. Whether you've lived in Westminster, MA your entire life, are trying to blend in as a townie, or are just considering moving to town, Westminster Vine is a great way to get a feel for what our town and its people are all about.
We envision eventually creating the newsletter with user-supplied content. We rely on townspeople to provide us with calendar events and encourage readers to write stories on any topics they are interested in.
We have two goals: First, to consistently provide local information that Westminster readers are interested in learning more about. Second, to modify and enhance Learning Vine, which local parents and businesses used this past school year to make over 500 drop-offs of surplus items to teachers in local classrooms. We have combined these two goals into a bi-weekly newsletter and website.
We encourage readers to submit news and pictures of local sports teams. If you are a regular attendee at any local sporting events and would like to write for us, send a synopsis of the event with pictures if possible.
If you are a teacher in any of our district's schools, please look at the Classroom Exchange to respond to any offers of free items for your classroom, or send us an email if you're looking for specific free items for your classroom.
Let us know if you have a story idea that would be interesting to a wide audience, a persistent community-wide issue such as the bridge closure on Depot Road, or if you have an upcoming event that you want to publicize.

We're happy to have user-supported content and encourage anyone to submit stories about things they are interested in.
